The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Serhiy Koretskyi, announced the first international conversation with the First Deputy Managing Director of the IMF, Daniel Katz, during which they discussed preparations for the IMF Executive Board meeting regarding the first review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program for Ukraine.
“I had my first international conversation with @IMFNews First Deputy Managing Director Dan Katz. We discussed preparations for the IMF Executive Board meeting on the first review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) Program for Ukraine, which, as confirmed by the Fund, will take place on July 20,” Koretskyi wrote on social network X.
He is convinced that the approval of the first review by the IMF Executive Board will bring Ukraine the next tranche of international assistance amounting to $690 million USD.
“I thanked the IMF for its consistent support of Ukraine. The Fund continues to play a key role in coordinating international financial assistance to our country. We also agreed to coordinate further steps to ensure funding for Ukraine’s state budget for 2027,” the prime minister emphasized.
