The capital’s preparation for the autumn-winter period, the protection of critical infrastructure, and the implementation of the Comprehensive Resilience Plan were the main topics of a coordination meeting chaired by the Minister of Reconstruction, Infrastructure and Transport of Ukraine, Mykola Kalashnyk.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of engineering and technical protection works for energy and utility infrastructure facilities, the development of distributed generation, the introduction of cogeneration units, the provision of backup power supply for heating and water supply facilities, as well as adherence to the schedules for implementing measures that determine Kyiv’s readiness for the autumn-winter period.
During the meeting, reports from responsible executors on the implementation of resilience plan measures and the fulfillment of approved schedules were heard. The Minister emphasized that all works must be carried out strictly within the set deadlines, as it concerns critical infrastructure facilities, the functioning of which ensures the safety and life support of the capital.

Responsible executors have been instructed to provide detailed work implementation schedules for each facility in the shortest possible time, with clearly defined final completion dates. The State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine has been instructed to ensure daily monitoring of work progress at all facilities of the Comprehensive Resilience Plan, to promptly inform the Ministry of any deviations from approved schedules, and to immediately respond to risks that may affect project implementation timelines.
Previously, it was reported that over 2,400 apartment buildings had strengthened their energy independence.
